If you have an online business you need traffic to generate leads. It’s the same way a Brick and Mortar business needs customers to walk in for them to sell. There are various ways to generate traffic and today I will talk about Email Marketing Strategies. The focus should always be on the Subject line….
1. Do Whatever
This one is Very controversial….By that I mean whatever to get attention (I have my comfort level). This works and I got the largest open rate with the subject line ..I like Exposing Myself! It’s a double edged sword so be careful on this one…
2. Curiosity
Make people curious to know more…..so that they can open your email. Example is Social Media Secrets. People want to find out about secrets and……they can only do that by opening and reading your emails.
3. Bold Statements
Always go for Bold. No one cares about your “little plans”; they have no magic to stir people…Make big plans. Make Bold statements and give people a plan, product or service that will help them achieve their goals.
4. Be Controversial
Go against the norm. Let people know that there is another side of the story. When they read it will be fresh and far from what they get on a daily basis
5. Shock Factor
Shocking headlines sell. If you use the same concept…your emails will be opened and read.
6. Facts
When you present facts it shows that you did some research. Since nowadays people want “quick fixes” they will tend to read just to know those facts…
7. Humor
It’s easy to sell to people when they are in a relaxed mood. What a better way to relax them than by using humor strategy in your email.
