Most of us wake up in the morning and put the radio or the TV on while getting ready to go to work/business. The radio or the TV shows tell us what to buy, how to look, where to go and much more…We don’t get a chance to talk back or debate we are constantly fed this information. If you are in a family setting there is the spouse and children that need your attention and you listen to their needs or wants. This is a daily routine for many people and slowly they end up tuning out their Inner Voice that empowers them. You must find time during the day to listen to your Inner Voice.
How can one do this with all the pressures and demands of business or family life? The first thing I would suggest is to guard what information you feed your mind. Watch less TV and spend more time with yourself. When driving to it’s OK sometimes to turn off the radio and listen to your Inner Voice. You may be thinking of doing something but never find time to organize your thoughts on how to start. You have the answers in you…all you have to do is spend sometime with yourself.
Someone asked me how I come up with my blog posts or what I post on my wall. I feel that I have what I need to guide me. What I need is to spend time with myself and listen to my Inner Voice as how to proceed. Before I start on a project I make sure it’s clear that’s what I want to do….then I do the research and talk to the experts in that field to guide me. Always feed your good habits and work on your goals. An old Cherokee tale tells of a grandfather teaching life principles to his grandson. The wise old Cherokee said, “Son, on the inside of every person a battle is raging between two wolves. One wolf is evil. It’s angry, jealous, unforgiving, proud, and lazy. The other wolf is good. It’s filled with love, kindness, humility, and self-control.” These two wolves are constantly fighting, the grandfather explained. The little boy thought about it, and said, “Grandfather, which wolf is going to win?” The grandfather smiled and said, “Whichever one you feed.” By taking time and listening to your Inner Voice you will find what works best for you. I choose to feed the good wolf.
