If you’ve advertised on Google before, than you KNOW what I’m talking about.
And I don’t care whether it’s Google, Facebook, SEO or anything else.
I’ve learned the hard way that when you depend on someone else, you have very little control.
Just like Google, Facebook can shut down your account or change their advertising rules.
Youtube can shut you down.
Google can change its algorithm causing you to drop your search engine rankings.
Anything can happen, so you best protect your business and not rely on any one of these.

Threat Number Two…

Your Company Could Go Under

Not sayin’ that it will, but it has happened before.
One day things are rocking and rolling and the next the company goes out of business because of some bad business decision, a change in the market, the FTC shuts them down…

… who knows why.

You don’t own your network marketing company, so you have no control over the management decisions they make.
Now I’ve personally never had that happen to me, but I know people who have.
And it ain’t pretty, when all your work, everything you’ve built disappears instantly.
And as if that’s not enough there’s another big threat we face.

Threat Number Three…

Me Too Syndrome
Why is it that most, not all, but most people in our industry say the exactly same thing?
To our prospects it all becomes a big blur of sameness.

Ok, on the surface it doesn’t seem like a big threat, but I think it is.
With everyone screaming “me too” at the top of their lungs, your carefully crafted marketing message gets lost in the noisy marketplace.
It reminds me of the old days, when I used to call on people in retail stores to recruit them and hear them say that I’m the 5th person who called them today.
And with more people getting online everyday, it’s not gonna get any less crowded.
However there’s ONE way to protect your business and shield it from these threats.
And that is to build your own brand and your own sales funnel.
Something YOU and only you have full control of.
When you build up your personal brand, you automatically stand apart from the crowd.
With the value you provide, you automatically attract others who will actually seek you out as you instantly become a trusted adviser and an authority, separating you from the hype they’re exposed to everywhere else.
By creating your own sales funnel, you build the biggest asset you could ever have in this business.

Something that you own and no one can take away from you.

You can lose a traffic source…
… your company could go under…
… but NOTHING can take away your asset.

I was reading this month’s Success magazine and there was an article that gave me a Aha moment!!!!

I would like to share an email I got from my mentor in the One24 business……

I have just completed my first 12 months with ONE24, and WOW what a year. This past weekend my family and I went to visit the Niagara Falls, Canada. I had been told if you want the best view you must go to the Canadian side. I’m glad I took the advice because it was indeed a spectacular view! The whole entire journey took us about 7 hours because of the all stops we took. I had never driven more than 3 hours with my kids and so thankful for whoever came up with the headset monitors..cos they are a lifesaver. My kids thought it was going to be a short drive and kept ask me if we were there frequently…don’t know what we could have done if they weren’t watching their DVDs!

In Niagara I met so many people from different nationalities who came to witness one of the wonders of the world. That got me thinking….some of them flew, drove their cars or took buses..but we were all there. If didn’t matter how long they planned, how long they drove, how many stops they made or even where they came from. All that mattered at that moment is that they made it there!

Everything takes time…Keep faith and stay focused. If you don’t quit you too will get to your destination.

Just got back on Saturday from a 5 Night Getaway Vacation to the Bahamas. I had never been to the Bahamas before and I can now say it’s one of the best places to visit. In the cruise you are treated like a king….5 star meals, comedy theaters, disco, swimming pools, hot tubs and much more..

We left the Miami port on Monday and spend Tuesday at sea. My wife and I had a balcony room and it’s view was breathtaking……enjoyed just watching the vast sea and its waves rocking.

On Wednesday we visited Grand Turk enjoyed some margaritas at Margaritaville (This is a swimming pool with a bar in it). On Thursday rode bikes around the island and we had a cruise barbecue at Half Moon Bay. It’s amazing how they where able to take food off the cruise prepare the barbecue for over 3000 people!

On Friday we drove jeeps in Nassau Bahamas. I felt like a local driving around the island. After that we took a ferry to Atlantis to do some shopping and of course take some pictures

I don’t know how many of you like Discovery Channel……it’s one of my favorites. It’s both entertaining and educational. Most of the times when I flip the channels looking for something to watch I end up here…In one particular episode… It showed wild dogs stalking an antelope which happened to be pregnant…..it’s the most vulnerable time when it’s about to give birth…easy prey for the wild dogs (not for the faint hearted)…

It got me thinking….when are we most vulnerable? Is it when everything is going fine and you “made it”? No…we are most vulnerable when we are about to “give birth” to an idea, project, career or business. The dream snatchers are always stalking you and ready to pounce….on that particular vulnerable moment when you still have doubts and uncertainty.

Protect yourself by surrounding yourself with like minded people or mentors who have accomplished what you intent to achieve. I believe that if you dared to take a peek through all the mediocrity of the daily grind that you would see that your dreams are still there. Not only are they still there, but it is never too late to claim them and start turning them in to reality.

This morning while driving my son to school I had the Black Belt Recruiting Cd playing and I want to share something very interesting that was mentioned. Whenever we are out looking to bring good quality people to join our businesses sometimes we might get overwhelmed. This is mainly because we try do most of the tasks by ourselves.

I would urge you to stick to what you do best….you might ask then who will take care of the rest. One word – Outsource

1. So what do I do when I don’t know how to build a website – Get someone who does.

2. So what do I do when am not comfortable speaking in public – Get someone who does or join groups like Toastmasters to learn how to speak in public.

3. So what do I do when I don’t have lots of time to do the business – Get someone who has lots of time

4. So what do I do when I don’t have money to advertise my business – Get someone who does and you partner up…

Once you understand that Leverage is the key to the home business…..you will have a Paradigm Shift. When you focus on what you do best…you become a better entrepreneur and more productive
